Personnel subcommittee's first working session of 14th Party Congress opens
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the sub-committee on personnel affairs of the 14th National Party Congress in Hanoi on Wednesday.

President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the meeting. Delegates at the meeting emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress is an important political event which is scheduled to be held in the first quarter of 2026.
The Congress will take place after 40 years of Vietnam's national renewal (1986-2026), 35 years of carrying out the 1991 Platform on national development in the transition period to socialism, and 5 years of implementing the 2021-2025 socio-economic development strategy toward the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930-2030) and the 100th founding anniversary of Vietnam (1945-2045).
The delegates said the 14th National Party Congress will mark an important milestone for Vietnam toward comprehensive, sustainable development, so personnel preparation for the Congress is of great importance.
