(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has conferred the Order of Independence, third class to PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Company (PVEP). The conferment is in recognition of PVEP’s major contributions to ensuring national energy security, the government’s macro-economic management and protecting national sovereignty. Speaking at a ceremony in Hanoi on Friday, the Deputy PM said that the company’s oil fields in Vietnam, Malaysia, Algeria and Venezuela have helped increase Vietnam’s oil reserve and production. Mr. Hai urged the company to make further contributions to Vietnam’s development.
