(VOVWORLD) -President of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his wife will pay a state visit to Vietnam on Monday and Tuesday at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong and his wife.

The visit aims to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the two countries, strengthen political trust at the highest level, and create momentum to bolster bilateral cooperation through all channels of Government, State, National Assembly and People.
The visit comes on the eve of major milestones in the two countries' relationship: the 10th anniversary of their Strategic Partnership in 2025 and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2026.
