(VOVWORLD) - Magazine Travel+Leisure of the US recently named Regent Phu Quoc resort in the southern province of Kien Giang among the 100 best new hotels in the world for 2023.
According to the publication, the sprawling resort on southern Vietnam's palm-fringed Phu Quoc island represents Regent’s opening gambit in an ambitious cross-Asia plan. It’s all suites and villas, and all that space comes with extraordinarily luxe touches.
The 126 villas feature private pools, generous living rooms with terraces or decks, and kitchens stocked with everything from craft sodas to artisanal Vietnamese chocolate.
The newspaper outlines that even the 176 suites boast spacious balconies and, in some cases, plunge pools.
Most notably, the kids’ club is fully equipped with a mini cinema and jungle gym, which provides adults ample time to sip rosé at the beachfront Ocean Club or to slurp excellent pho noodles at Rice Kitchen. The room rates hover at around VND10 million per night.
The list of the top 100 best new hotels has been compiled by editors and travel experts of the US magazine, aiming to help tourists get more suggestions for their upcoming trip.
The judging panel spent the entirety of last year visiting 37 countries across six continents, except for Antarctica, to observe newly-established hotels and make an honest assessment about their operations, facilities, and services.
This year, the top 100 are divided into seven categories, looking at them through the lens of affordable luxury, best new wellness getaways, and inviting beach vacations, among other designations.
