At a meeting with the Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee on Saturday as part of his business trip to the south-central coastal provinces, Mr. Hue said that Phu Yen has several unique characteristics and a very important position connecting the Central Highlands and the Triangle Development Area of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam, being close to international maritime routes, and having a deep-water seaport.

The province has conditions to develop major industries, such as metallurgy, petrochemical refining, and clean energy.

The National Assembly Chairman recommended Phu Yen to prioritize investment in infrastructure, integrate urban development and urban economy, speed up the progress of key projects, especially the North-South Expressway Component Project passing Phu Yen province, and improve the investment and business environment and administrative reform to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses.
