The expo on Sunday and Monday aims to create a chance for other countries to access the Chinese market and help promote the “Belt and Road” initiative as well as globalization. It will be attended by 3,000 businesses from 130 countries and territories.

As scheduled, PM Phuc will meet Chinese Party leader and President Xi Jinping and the Mayor of Shanghai. He will attend the opening ceremony of the International Import Expo of China and the Hongqiao International Trade Economic Forum, visit the pavilions by countries participating in the expo, open the Vietnam-Hangzou Trade Promotion Office, and meet representatives from China’s big companies.
