Addressing the Vietnam-New Zealand Business Forum on Monday in Auckland, PM Phuc said that when they do business in Vietnam, New Zealand enterprises can access not just Vietnam’s market of almost 100 million people but also the ASEAN market of 600 milion people.

“Vietnam’s business climate has significantly improved in recent years. The Vietnamese government will continue to improve the business environment to attract more domestic and foreign investors and ensure their interests in accordance with Vietnamese regulations,” Mr. Phuc noted.

PM Phuc said he hopes New Zealand will boost cooperation with Vietnam in education, training, food safety, agriculture, and infrastructure.

“I hope that the two countries’ businesses will discuss specific cooperation opportunities, especially following the signing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) to which Vietnam and New Zealand are members,” he added.
