PM believes investors will help turn Ha Giang into affluent province
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has hailed the significant role of investors in Ha Giang’s development, noting that they will help transform the northernmost province of Vietnam into a well-off locality.

Addressing an investment promotion conference in Ha Giang on Monday, Mr. Phuc said that investors will not only help improve the livelihoods and living standards of local ethnic people and but also create breakthrough development in the region.
“Ha Giang should target inclusive investment projects that can create sustainable jobs and income for locals. They are also key to the development of the whole northwestern region, including Ha Giang,” he said.
Mr. Phuc suggested that Ha Giang steps up popularising local images and identities, develop community-based tourism, and revive cultural values of traditional festivals to attract tourists all year round. Ha Giang is home to Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark and 19 ethnic groups. At the conference, the local administration introduced 26 investment projects worth more than 700 million USD.
