(VOVworld) - The National Committee on Educational and Training Reform on Tuesday reviewed alternative changes to the secondary school qualification exam, the university entrance exam and curriculum upgrade plans.

Speaking at the session, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the plans should enable a comprehensive reform of the educational sector in line with the 8^th Party resolution. He urged the Ministry of Education and Training to absorb expert comments to finetune the reform proposals. He called for a shrinking of the vocational training network at the district level and a more effective orientation of tertiary education towards research or application. He agreed on the proposal to organize a national secondary school graduation exam and its scoring will be used as the criteria for university entrance qualification.
