PM honors religious dignitaries, followers for pandemic response
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday sent a letter honoring religious dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers for joining hands with the government ad people in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prime Minister said he believes that Vietnam will push back the pandemic, thanks to the will and determination of the Party, State and the political system, and the consensus of the people from all walks of life.
He acknowledged efforts by religious dignitaries and followers to strictly abide by the State's regulations on pandemic prevention and control, and uphold a sense of responsibility for the country. Many people have voluntarily joined frontliners in the fight against the pandemic.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government always pays attention to and creates conditions for the implementation of provisions of the Constitution and laws on the right to freedom of belief and religion in Vietnam.
He called on religious dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers to continue to unite, join hands and consent with the government and the people in pandemic prevention and control, and socio-economic development.
