(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has chaired a meeting with the Vietnam Farmers’ Association to review its cooperation with the government office. He called for more practical movements to link emulation with production to ensure sustainable poverty reduction and the building of new rural areas and national defense.

The Prime Minister said more relevant vocational training should be provided to boost labor restructuring from agriculture to industry and service sectors: “Farmers need to promote productivity to improve the agricultural competitiveness to fuel development. Agriculture restructuring and application of science and technology from breeds to post harvest must be accelerated. Connectivity between regions and outlets should be fostered to improve produce competitiveness.”
