(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung met with Vietnam’s 63 most outstanding amateur inventors in 2015 in Hanoi on Tuesday.

He stressed the Party and state policies of encouraging innovations which could contribute to national development and defense. He said that building an independent, socialist Vietnam with a wealthy people and a strong, democratic, equal, and civilized nation requires industrialization and modernization towards sustainable growth. He also stressed the importance of the application of scientific research and technology to improve productivity and national economic competitiveness.

Prime Minister Dung said that the government will issue more policies to encourage scientific research and technology application as well as innovation and invention in society. He asked the Ministry of Science and Technology and other relevant agencies to support such efforts in accessing loans, copyright protection, and product promotion.
