The four-lane expressway project’s investment policy was approved by the National Assembly in June 2022 and scheduled to be completed in 2026 and put into operation in 2027.

Checking the project implementation in Vinh Thanh district of Can Tho city and Phung Hiep district of Hau Giang province, Prime Minister Chinh gave gifts to encourage construction units and requested local authorities to mobilize the entire political system and people to work together on the construction site.

Local businesses must be facilitated to grow stronger and jobs be created for people’s livelihoods, while locals are supported to build irrigation and road systems in their villages and prevent erosion, PM Chinh said.

Earlier on Saturday morning, in anticipation of the 77th War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, July 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Can Tho City cemetery.
