At the event, part of his official visit to New Zealand, Mr. Chinh answered questions from New Zealand’s agencies and businesses and asked ministries and sectors to create the best possible conditions for New Zealand’s firms to invest in Vietnam.
He urged the Government, associations, and businesses of New Zealand to promote economic, trade, and investment partnerships with Vietnam, and asked for a more open market to maximise bilateral trade agreements, cooperation frameworks, and new-generation free trade deals.
In addition, he called for easier access of goods to each other’s markets and a possible removal of non-tariff barriers to Vietnamese goods, particularly agricultural and aquatic products.
He asked New Zealand businesses to boost investment ties with Vietnam through programs and projects in green economy, digital economy, circular economy, knowledge-based economy, science and technology, innovation, among other areas.
