(VOVWORLD) - British Prime Minister Theresa May brushed aside questions Monday about whether she will resign if her Brexit deal is rejected by Parliament next week, saying she’s confident she’ll still have a job after the crucial vote.

In an interview with ITV, May said she will still have a job in two weeks’ time, adding that her job is to make sure the British government does what the public asked it to, which is to leave the EU, but it’ll do it in a way that is good for them.
May called on MPs to respect the voters by not rejecting the Brexit deal. She said the deal protects voters’ jobs and security and insisted that the UK will face division and instability if the deal is rejected.
