(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday chaired a review on 5 years implementing the Party resolution on fine-tuning the mechanism of the socialist-oriented market economy. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the review’s decisive role in national socio-economic development. He said since the 6^th National Party Congress decided to shift Vietnam’s concentrated- subsidy economy into the socialist- oriented market economy under state management, Vietnam has gained considerable economic achievements. In particular, since the Party resolution on fine-tuning the mechanism of the socialist-oriented market economy in place 5 years ago, understanding of the market economy has been elevated, the legal system and mechanism concerning the socialist-oriented market economy have been improved and fundamental features of the market economy have been gradually formulated. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stressed the review of the resolution needed to further clarify the role of the state and issues of markets, democracy in economics, international integration and self-reliance.
