During the bank’s 30th anniversary on Sunday, the Prime Minister praised the bank as a pioneer multi-functional commercial bank and called for its contribution to Vietnam’s target of increasing its economic size 17 times in the next 30 years, as it has done over the past 30 years.
“I encourage the bank to take the lead in the banking sector’s Industry 4.0 with massive changes in new apps, new technology and renovated governance and services. To avoid lagging behind in the digital economy, Vietnamese banks should swiftly catch up with reform to facilitate economic growth,” said Mr. Phuc.
On this occasion, Vietinbank was conferred with a Labor Border, 1st class for its 2nd time.
