PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc discusses COVID-19 fight with Chinese counterpart
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc talked on the phone with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on Thursday, discussing cooperation in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

PM Phuc said Vietnam is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic as it would fight an enemy. He noted that while Vietnam has been successful during the first phase of the pandemic, the fight has entered a new phase. Vietnam is still in control of the situation and taking the initiative to curb the spread of the disease and ensure the social security and safety of all Vietnamese and foreign citizens in Vietnam. PM Phuc thanked China for its support in the form of experience sharing and medical supplies.
Premier Li praised Vietnam’s effective anti-epidemic measures and thanked Vietnam for its support when the epidemic was at its peak in China. He said China will give Vietnam all the medical supplies and equipment it can. The two leaders agreed on the importance of ensuring the health and legitimate rights and interests of the other’s citizens living in their country.
