PM Chinh welcomed China’s significant contributions to BRICS and expressed Vietnam’s readiness to actively coordinate with BRICS member countries to further enhance the role of developing nations in addressing global peace and development challenges.

With regard to Vietnam-China relations, the PM proposed that both sides continue to promote high-level exchanges and strengthen practical cooperation in key areas, especially transportation connectivity.

He said priority should be given to accelerating the implementation of three standard-gauge railway lines linking Vietnam and China, namely the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong, the Lang Son-Hanoi, and the Mong Cai-Ha Long-Hai Phong rail routes to foster economic ties.

In addition, he suggested that both countries collaborate in organizing activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchange in 2025.

Xi for his part praised Vietnam for its achievements, particularly in socio-economic development. He reaffirmed China’s willingness to maintain strategic dialogue with Vietnam and deepen practical cooperation, further enhancing the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
