(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the specialized discussion on digital economy chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday as part of the G20 Summit in Osaka.

At the first meeting of the Summit, Prime Minister Phuc and other leaders discussed the situation and prospects of global trade and investment.
Afterwards, speaking at the meeting on innovation, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam defines digital economy one of growth drivers and will issue the National Strategy on Digital Transformation later this year. He added Vietnam and other ASEAN countries are ready to work with G20 countries to encourage innovation, optimize digital economic benefits, while respecting international and national laws.
The Prime Minister raised Vietnam’s initiative on pushing the establishment of a global network of innovation centers, including center for researching and developing AI, to boost the sharing of intellects and new technologies and help developing countries seize the opportunities of innovations, so that nobody is left behind.
