Prime Minister Chinh on Monday chaired a meeting of the socio-economic subcommittee in preparation for the coming 14th National Party Congress, which examined a draft report reviewing the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy from 2021 to 2025, and outlining directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 2026-2030 period.
PM Chinh stressed the need to renew the development mindset in all fields, while some fields must take the lead, particularly the completion of the socialist-oriented market economy mechanisms. He proposed positioning Vietnam among the top 30 to 35 largest economies in the world and within the group of upper middle-income economies.
