Addressing the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting in Hoi An City on Saturday, the Prime Minister welcomed the Ministers’ discussion on APEC priorities, including finance for infrastructure to promote private sector participation, especially in public private partnership projects, natural disaster insurance and inclusive financing to boost poverty reduction.

“We have faced numerous challenges given limited financial resources. This requires cooperation to secure stability and peace to promote experience sharing and innovative performance for joint sustainable development and prosperity,” said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

He added: “APEC Ministers have shown their close cooperation for comprehensive economic connectivity, inclusive and creative growth, better competitiveness among small and medium sized enterprises. APEC 2017 is the first year to implement APEC Finance Ministers’ renovation roadmap strategy towards a stable financial system.”
