PM urges to implement socio-economic development targets for 2015

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has underscored the importance of macro-economic stability to Vietnam’s sustainable development. He made the call at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday of the inter-ministerial steering committee on coordination to manage and control macro-situation in the first quarter this year. Mr. Dung said the government is determined to achieving targets set for this year including the GDP growth reaching 6.2% and exports increasing 10% volume. To that end, Prime Minister Dung asked Ministries and relevant agencies to continue to make precise forecast and analysation to put forth flexible solutions, mechanisms, and policies for development. PM Dung also urged to keep the exchange rate stable and combine fiscal and monetary policies to stabilize the macro-economy.
It’s necessary to remove hurdles for production and trading, promulgate policies to better support agricultural and industrial development, improve the investment and business environment, and expand export markets.
