PM welcomes framework agreement on cooperation with Luxembourg
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has welcomed the signing of the framework agreement on cooperation between the governments of Vietnam and Luxembourg as it creates a new cooperation frame in development and climate change issues.
At a reception for Luxembourg’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn in Hanoi on Thursday, PM Phuc praised Luxemburg for being the 5th largest EU investor in Vietnam. He expressed his hope that both sides will create favorable conditions for business partnership and exchanges in finance-banking, tourism, and green growth. The PM called for more efforts to finalize the Investment Protection Agreement and to sign the Free Trade Agreement.
Applauding PM Phuc’s speech delivered at the G7 Outreach Summit last weekend, Minister Asselborn invited Vietnam to learn from Luxembourg‘s model of green bonds. He also expected that the EU and Vietnam will promptly sign the bilateral FTA and boost cooperation.
