(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong met with outstanding students from Vietnam National University - Hanoi (VNU) on Tuesday.
The students queries touched upon issues such as education, science and technology policies of innovation in Singapore, and the digital and green economy partnership between the two countries.
They inquired into policies to promote cooperation among universities of Singapore and Vietnam, especially in areas of research, innovation and artificial intelligence. The students were also keen on learning the success story of Prime Minister Lee and his experience as a leader.
At the meeting, the two leaders witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between VNU-Hanoi, VNU-Ho Chi Minh City and Nanyang Technological University (TNU) of Singapore on the exchange of officials, lecturers, and students as well as ongoing and new scientific research.

At a meeting with representatives of young people of Vietnam and Singapore on the same day, Prime Minister Lee said the two countries are embarking on a rapid transition period which creates plenty of cooperative opportunities to provide a better life for the citizens in each country, throughout the region and ultimately the world.
Prime Minister Chinh called on the young people of Vietnam and Singapore to promote their pioneering role to help the two countries develop rapidly and sustainably.
