Politburo discusses development of Hai Phong, Thua Thien-Hue
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on Friday chaired a Politburo meeting to discuss a project reviewing the five-year implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution on Hai Phong’s development until 2030 with a vision to 2045, and another on the establishment of centrally-run Hue city.

The top leader requested the continued implementation of the resolution on Hai Phong, which, he said, should go in tandem with the materialisation of another Politburo resolution in 2022 on socio-economic development, and national defence and security in the Red River Delta region by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
He urged efforts to speed up economic structuring in parallel with growth model reform; promote digital economy, green economy and circular economy; boost the development of economic and industrial zones; and build concerted socio-economic infrastructure, among other tasks.
For the Hue city project, the Politburo agreed to submit it to the 10th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee for feedback collection.
Mr. Lam stressed that the formation of centrally-run Hue city holds political significance as it would create momentum for Thua Thien-Hue province to grow further.
