(VOVworld) – A delegation of the National Election Council led by Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Vu Trong Kim Wednesday held a working session with Hung Yen provincial officials on preparation for the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils in the 2016-2021 period.

The local officials said that Hung Yen established an election committee, held the second consultative meeting, and agreed a preliminary list of candidates for National Assembly and People’s Council elections for the 2016-2021 term. The delegation praised Hung Yen’s preparation for the elections which was in line with national regulations.
The Phu Tho Fatherland Front held a conference to collect voters’ opinions and votes of confidence with candidates at residential places for the upcoming elections. According to the regulations, the candidates must complete collecting voters’ opinions and votes of confidence in their places of residence by April 12^th, 2016.
The Tay Ninh provincial election committee held its 5^th session to assess preparation for the upcoming election.
Earlier, a delegation of the Steering Committee for the Northwestern Region examined Ha Giang province’s preparations for the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils in the 2016-2021 period.

They said Ha Giang has strictly implemented preparations in accordance with the regulations.
