(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, a working team led by Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Vice President and Deputy Chairwoman of the National Electoral Council, checked and oversaw preparations for the elections to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils in Nam Dinh province.

Madam Thinh spoke highly of Nam Dinh’s preparations for the elections pursuant to the law and urged the province to strengthen communications for the locals to be well aware of their rights and obligations to cast their votes. Voting is a way to build a state governed by law of the people, for the people, by the people. She asked Nam Dinh to hold meetings with voters, increase inspection and monitoring, especially during the upcoming elections day.

The same day, Madam Thinh checked Thai Binh province’s preparations for elections, where provincial authorities reported there will be 11 eligible candidates for the National Assembly and 114 for the provincial People’s Council.  Thai Binh’s Electoral Committee has published the list of official candidates in the mass media.

On Wednesday voters’ meetings and election campaigns were held nationwide. At a meeting with Lai Chau’s candidates for the NA and provincial People’s Council, the province’s economic situation was outlined and election action plans were created and a timetable for voters’ meetings was set.

Kon Tum’s election committee announced its official list of candidates said there will be 13 constituencies.

Phu Yen’s Fatherland Front held a meeting with candidates for the NA and provincial People’s Council and discussed plans for voters’ meetings.
