President arrives in Bangkok for Thailand visit and APEC Summit
(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed at the Royal Thai Airbase in Bangkok on Wednesday, beginning an official visit to Thailand and attendance of the 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
They were welcomed at the airport by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his wife with a 21-cannon salute.

During the visit until Saturday, President Phuc and his wife are scheduled to meet the King and Queen of Thailand, hold talks with the Thai PM and witness the signing of some cooperation documents, have meetings with other leaders of Thailand, and receive representatives of some friendship organizations and big enterprises.
President Phuc will attend the Vietnam-Thailand business forum and trade and investment promotion activities between the two countries.

The President will attend the CEO Summit as part of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, its important sessions, and bilateral meetings with APEC leaders and guests.
The Vietnamese delegation will take part in all major activities of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and meet with important partners and big businesses in the region.
