The visit affirms that Vietnam consistently pursues its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification of international relations, including respecting the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Bangladesh. Both countries have worked to increase two-way trade to more than 1 billion USD.

On this occasion, President Quang told the Bangladeshi media that the two countries share common views on regional and global issues, work closely with each other and support each other at international forums and the UN. He added that Vietnam hopes to deepen ties with Bangladesh in a practical and effective manner, living up the two people’s aspirations.
