President believes in Hanoi as example of bravery to overcome difficulties
(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has commended Hanoi for its initial successes in the prevention of the 4th wave of COVID-19 pandemic, including the early application of social distancing measures under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16.

Speaking at a meeting on Friday with the Hanoi City's Command for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the President asked Hanoi to set specific goals.
“What goal will be set at this time of the global pandemic with rapid spread of the dangerous variant Delta? That is not to overload the hospital, not to let the serious illness increase rapidly, especially not to let many people die. We must take this issue seriously with the highest responsibility before the Party and people to protect the people first and foremost.”
On this occasion, on behalf of donors and benefactors, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented Hanoi with 1.7 million USD to support the prevention and control of COVID-19.
