President Erdogan: Coup attempts may not end
(VOVworld) – The Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan said during an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday night that people behind last week's bloody coup attempt may still have plans for the next stage and further coup attempts could happen.

Mister Erdogan also said that there were some countries involved in the coup but stressed that he would not identify the countries as the result of investigation would reveal that.
The president also admitted that there were weaknesses in Turkey's intelligence sector. Since the coup failed on Saturday, over 9,000 people have been arrested facing court decisions, according to the president. The government of President Erdogan declared a three-month state of emergency in the hope of stabilizing the country and to hunt down the suspects behind last week's bloody events.
