(VOVworld) – A Youth Forum on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example was held on Tuesday in Soc Trang province. At the event, the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Committee granted Nguyen Thai Binh scholarships worth 50 USD each to 30 poor students.

Khanh Hoa province held a festival to encourage young physicians to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching to volunteer for community health. The province’s Young Physicians’ Association has provided free medical checkups and medicine to more than 1,300 poor people and policy beneficiaries.    

 An exchange themed “Light up dreams for Binh Thuan children” took place in the central province of Binh Thuan drawing the participation of around 250 young people.

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association visited and laid wreaths at the commemorative site of President Ho Chi Minh in Xiengvang village in the Lao province of Khammouan and the commemorative site in Noong Nhat village, Muong district, Nakhon Phamon, Thailand.

The same day, the Vietnamese embassy in the Republic of Korea held a meeting to mark President Ho’s 125^th birth anniversary and promote the campaign to study and follow President Ho’s moral example.

The Vietnamese embassy in Russia and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and Vietnamese community there held a meeting in the embassy, and offered incense at the altar to late President Ho Chi Minh.  

The Vietnamese embassy in Egypt held a ceremony in Cairo to mark the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s 125^th birthday. Vietnamese ambassador Dao Thanh Chung asked embassy staff and other Vietnamese representatives to actively respond to the campaign of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example as well as continue to foster Vietnamese-Egyptian ties.

An international workshop on President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding 20^th century politician took place in Kiev, Ukraine on Monday. The event aimed to help Ukrainian people learn more about the great contribution made by President Ho Chi Minh to the struggle for Vietnam’s national independence. Commemorating the occasion, the Vietnamese community in Kiev offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the embassy.
