The program told a musical story praising the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh and his love for the country and people. 76 years have passed but the late leader’s appeal lives on, helping promote the patriotic emulation among the Vietnamese even in peace time to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said: “Vietnam – Aspiration to rise is an art program with profound political meaning. The everlasting songs and melodies are performed by many famous artists. We look back at the historical milestone 76 years ago when President Ho Chi Minh issued a call for patriotic emulation to arouse national pride, self-respect, and heroic spirit to build an increasingly strong, prosperous and happy Vietnam under the Party's leadership.”
On Wednesday evening, in Ho Chi Minh City, an art program recreated the journey back in 1911. On June 5, 113 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh left Nha Rong Wharf to find a way for national salvation. It also featured the process of arduous fighting, the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the implementation of President Ho’s will aiming for national independence and socialism, for Vietnam with "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".
