Speaking in a meeting with more than 60 US business representatives in Da Nang on Wednesday, the President applauded the business contribution to bilateral relations and welcomed their investment in high-tech, energy and infrastructure. He asked the event organizer, the US-APEC Business Coalition, to support calls for early recognition from the US of market economic status for Vietnam and strengthening bilateral trade and investment.
