President Nguyen Xuan Phuc inspects pandemic control in Ho Chi Minh City

He asked local authorities and people to uphold their tradition of heroism, unity, and mutual support while implementing the Government Directive 16. President Phuc said: 'During the previous two weeks of social distancing, the public has complied with Directive 16 while local leaders have made initiatives to efficiently control the pandemic and minimize life and property losses. Without these efforts, losses would have been more significant.'

The President called for strengthening inspection to make people fully observe Directive 16. He agreed with the HCM City’s proposal for extended social distancing to protect public health and life.
