President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Academy in Can Tho city on Thursday.

The President wished Khmer Buddhist dignitaries, followers, and people a happy festival, health, peace, luck and happiness. President Phuc said 2022 is the first year of the implementation of two major policies on ethnic affairs which are expected to create opportunities for ethnic minority and mountain regions to further grow. He expressed his belief that Khmer ethnic people and Khmer Buddhist dignitaries and followers will have a great festival and continue to preserve and promote their traditions.

The President reiterated the Party and State policies on ensuring the right to freedom of belief and religion and protecting legal religious activities as well as their special attention to socio-economic development of religious people.
