President receives former Vietnam-Japan Special Ambassador
(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday praised Sugi Ryotaro, former Special Ambassador for Vietnam-Japan for his contribution to developing bilateral friendship over the past 30 years, through cultural cooperation and art exchange programs such as the Vietnam-Japan Music Festival.

Receiving Mr. Sugi Ryotaro in Hanoi on Friday, President Phuc said the former special ambassador has contributed to promoting the Vietnam-Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership, which is developing strongly and comprehensively with high political trust.
The guest said that as a senior advisor to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, he expressed his hope to promote health care cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. With Japan providing ODA for Vietnam’s public health, he said he wants to continue bridging these cooperation activities. Besides, as a special adviser on crime prevention of the Ministry of Justice of Japan, he expressed his wish to cooperate with Vietnam in this field.
