(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has sent greetings and 4,500 USD worth of gifts to soldiers of the Navy Zone 4 High Command and residents of Truong Sa island district to wish them a happy Lunar New Year.

The soldiers and the locals said they see the gifts as being special treatment given to them by the president.

They vowed to overcome all difficulties and be vigilant in order to safeguard the country’s sea and island sovereignty and maintain an environment of peace and stability.
