Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Kingdom Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized that the President's attendance at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla shows Vietnam's respect and support for the British Royal Family, Government and Vietnam-UK strategic partnership.
According to the Ambassador, during the visit, President Vo Van Thuong will meet King Charles III and Queen Camilla, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and a number of Cabinet ministers to further relations between Vietnam and the British Government and Royal Family and contribute to enhancing political trust and relations between the two countries.
President Thuong is scheduled to meet with leaders of the British House of Commons, MPs, former Prime Minister Tony Blair, representatives of economic groups, universities, friendship organizations, and a number of British individuals, who have made important contributions to the development of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Long affirmed that President Vo Van Thuong's visit to the UK is a particularly important event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UK this year, creating momentum for the two countries’ strategic partnership to continue to develop strongly in the coming decades.
