President To Lam receives Ambassadors of ASEAN countries and Timor Leste

At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday with Ambassadors and Chargés d'Affaires of ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste who came to congratulate Lam for being elected President of Vietnam, Lam expressed his hope that the diplomats will always be an important bridge, contributing more to promoting friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries, joining hands to make ASEAN Community united, strong, and the nucleus of peace, stability, cooperation and development.

On behalf of Ambassadors and Charge d'Affaires of Southeast Asian countries in Hanoi, Lao Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh, Chairman of ASEAN 2024, conveyed congratulations from senior leaders of Laos and Southeast Asian countries to President To Lam.

The Lao Ambassador emphasized that in nearly 30 years of participating in ASEAN, Vietnam has always played an important role in strengthening solidarity and the central role of ASEAN, as well as in building the ASEAN Community Vision post 2025.

The Lao Ambassador expressed his belief that under the leadership of President To Lam, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries will grow stronger and deeper, making important contributions to peace, security and stability in the region.
