President Tran Dai Quang receives outgoing New Zealand Ambassador
(VOVworld) - Vietnam and New Zealand should boost cooperation in agriculture and clean technology, President Tran Dai Quang told the outgoing New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, Haike Manning, in Hanoi on Friday.
Mr. Quang said that Vietnam welcomes and wishes to facilitate New Zealand investors in Vietnam. The President praised the ambassador’s contributions to developing the two countries’ comprehensive partnership and thanked New Zealand for its ODA funding for Vietnam. He said both countries should boost cooperation in education and training, climate change response and law enforcement at sea.
The Ambassador said the launching of direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Auckland is necessary and pledged support for Vietnam’s hosting of the APEC Year in 2017.
