(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, President Truong Tan Sang visited Tra Linh district cemetery in Cao Bang province, the resting place of more than 300 soldiers who died in the struggle to protect Vietnam’s northern border in 1979.

He asked soldiers at Tra Linh border station to increase patrols to ensure border security and prevent smuggling and illegal immigration while helping to reduce poverty. The same day, he visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Cao Chuong commune, Tra Linh district.
