(VOVworld) – Hanoi authorities and Hanoi’s Fatherland Front held a meeting on Thursday to celebrate the 91^st anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day. Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai hailed the role the press has played in the development of Vietnam and its capital Hanoi.

He said the media have publicized exemplary people, good deeds, and successful models, and been actively involved in fighting corruption, waste, and social disturbances. The media are an important communications tool in the management of the capital city.

The same day Deputy Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang visited the Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi.
