Press honored for anti-corruption work
(VOVWORLD) - 35 prizes in a national press contest promoting the fight against corruption and waste in Vietnam were given in Hanoi on Thursday.

The 4 top prizes went to reporters from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth newspaper, the Labor newspaper, the Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam Television. Speaking at the award ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the works closely reflect the leadership and management of the Party and State, the achievements of the renewal process, especially the fight against corruption and wastefulness: “The press’s timely reports about pressing issues of public concern helps considerably in the battle against corruption and wastefulness, contributes to economic growth and a healthy business environment, and promotes the image and status of Vietnam in the world”.
This is the second time a national press contest promoting the fight against corruption and waste has been held by the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The prize-winning efforts were selected from more than 1,000 entries in four media - print, online, radio, and television.
