At traditional markets, the prices of essential goods like vegetables, fresh meat, and offerings for worshipping only increased on the days leading up to Tet and the first few days of the new year.

The prices are returning to normal when the supply from supermarket chains and trade centers and people's demand are resuming to the level before Tet.

According to the Finance Ministry’s forecasts, after Tet when festivals begin nationwide, people’s demand for travel, food consumption, eating out, and items for the festivals are often on the rise.

The Ministry requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to strictly follow the practical development to take timely measures to ensure the supply of petrol and oil for the domestic market.
