(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung led a government delegation on Tuesday to overhaul the aluminum production of Lam Dong Bauxite-Aluminum Complex in Bao Lam district, Lam Dong province.

He asked the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group and the Lam Dong aluminum company to ensure safe operation, boost trade promotion, and expand product consumption markets. He said that environmental protection must be ensured, particularly when building a reservoir of red mud. Prime Minister Dung also called for better care for workers, improving the living conditions of local residents, and ensuring security and order. Prime Minister agreed to allow the Lam Dong aluminum company to be equitized to attract strategic investors. He said that Lam Dong province should update its planning to develop Bao Lam into an urban area with advanced infrastructure.
