Prime Minister asks Japan to continue vaccine support for Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Friday asked the Japanese Ambassador to propose to the Government and relevant agencies of Japan to continue supporting and ceding vaccines to Vietnam, and promote cooperation with Vietnam in production and technology transfer of vaccines and drugs to treat COVID-19 patients.

Speaking at Friday meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio, Prime Minister Chinh said he hopes the two sides will work closely to enhance contact and exchange delegations at all levels to deepen their Extensive Strategic Partnership in the new situation.
He affirmed that the Government, ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam will continue the highest possible solutions to support foreign enterprises, including Japanese enterprises, in overcoming difficulties to maintain production and supply chain. He said Japan provides legal assistance, solves difficulties, and ensures stable life for Vietnamese citizens in Japan.
The Japanese Ambassador reiterated the Japanese Government’s view of supporting Vietnam in all aspects in the current situation. He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government, ministries, branches and localities will continue to facilitate and remove difficulties caused by the pandemic, and support businesses in COVID-19 prevention and control and maintaining production stability.
