(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged ministries, sectors, and localities to do their utmost to achieve the set target of 6.7% growth rate for this year.

Chairing the government regular meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said: “Ministers of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction, Transport, Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and Finance, the State Bank, and other sectors need to make all out efforts to reach the set target. Without growth, we cannot fix the unemployment problem, collect budget, and balance budget collection and spending.”

The government meeting will discuss a wide range of laws, including the amended Law on Public Debt Management, the amended Law on Fisheries, and the amendments to the Law on Denunciation. The government will listen to reports on the implementation of free trade agreements, the government’s action plan to implement a Resolution on international economic integration, and measures to develop hi-tech agriculture.
