During his stay, the PM attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of CAEXPO and CABIS, visited exhibition areas, and joined other official activities.
In his speech at the opening ceremony of the two events, PM Chinh called for greater efforts to promote trade between ASEAN and China in a balanced and sustainable manner in order to turn ASEAN into China's first trading partner with trade value exceeding 1 trillion USD.
He suggested closer coordination to build linkage chains from raw material areas to production centres and product consumption systems.
It’s necessary to continue to open the market, combat protectionism, cooperate to improve adaptation ability to new standards, new tastes, and green products, while promoting science-technology cooperation and innovation, he said.
Mr. Chinh also met leaders of China and Guangxi province and received representatives from leading Chinese and ASEAN businesses to promote investment, production, and business cooperation.
The business trip contributes to enhancing political trust and strengthening bilateral relations and promotes cooperation between Vietnam and China, especially in economics and trade.
At CAEXPO, Vietnam has the largest number of booths among ASEAN countries, only after host country China. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese goods to access the markets of China and ASEAN countries.
